Synopsis
Ten years ago, biological mutations suddenly broke out across the globe. Animals and plants alike underwent strange transformations and began attacking humans. Consequently, humanity erected high walls and has lived within their confines ever since.
Ten years later, human bases have reached a state of mature development. Even ordinary people can lead normal lives within these bases, safely distanced from the dangers lurking beyond the walls.
Lu Shiyu relied on her culinary skills to run a small restaurant within the base, living a life that was both laborious and mundane. This continued until one day, a man claiming to be the captain of an exploration squad appeared, allowing her to step outside the base gates for the first time in ten years.
Lu Shiyu’s job description was simple: cook for the members of the exploration squad. But what should she do if there were no ingredients? Even the cleverest housewife cannot cook a meal without rice; even the most elite chef would be at their wit’s end.
Lu Shiyu: “I don’t care anymore. Will you guys eat mutated creatures or not?”
Squad members: “?”
Giant spiders with scorpion tails, lizards that look like crocodiles, fungal cattle that seem to be part animal and part plant, six-legged chickens…
Lu Shiyu’s kitchen knife was twitching with anticipation; she had long wanted to try cooking with mutated organisms! Heat the pan and add the oil—to her, this world was just one giant wet market!
Team member: “Even if I die! Even if I jump off right here! I won’t eat a single bite of a mutated creature!”
Team member: “Actually, this is delicious.”
